Runway on X
The largest group, 28 people, praises what Runway produces — cinematic clips, one-button character sheets — and its unlimited Kling 4 days; 18 work it into agent, API and App Studio pipelines. Complaints are smaller and level: cost, doubt about the offer, visible artifacts.

How do people feel about Runway?
Praise outweighs complaint: 28 people post unreserved enthusiasm and 18 describe Runway fitting into a bigger workflow, against 6 who come away disappointed. What draws the praise: the look of the output, and the unlimited Kling 4 offer.
Enthusiasm is about what comes out: clips called cinematic and "crazy good", fluid movement and combat transitions, a one-button character sheet, and a shared grain and grade that make Kling and Seedance shots cut like one film. Some posts frame it as opportunity — opening doors for solo creators, more creative freedom on fewer resources — and the unlimited Kling 4 days are praised as a good time to push generations.
18 people care most about fit: Runway Agent on iOS, HTML animations as a base for seamless loops, an mp3 in and an edited video out, the API, Claude-to-Runway pipelines, and App Studio turning a described tool into an app with Brand Kits, valued for cutting UI and webhook work.
3 like it with reservations — price, the effort to land one final shot, physics that are "hand waved". 5 are still testing, several on the free unlimited days. 6 are unimpressed: a knockoff look, a preference for real animation and CGI, and one person leaving.

Using @runwayml Agent to create HTML animations as a base first unlocks the ability to create Seamless Looping animations with any model 👀
ended up finally trying @runwayml because of @musegod_rh and i just did it in chat with my @OpenAI dot
Unlimited Kling 4 on Runway is huge perfect time to push generations
Runway really is opening doors for solo creators.

What do people complain about with Runway?
Complaints are level three ways — 4 people on what generations cost, 4 doubting the unlimited offer, 4 on visible giveaways in the output — with 3 more on characters that change between shots.
Cost is the first: Runway is promoted as free when it is "totally paid", enterprises get reserved GPUs while others queue, and people hear GPU bills before a feature list; one counts what a shot costs per keeper once retries are paid for.
The unlimited offer draws doubt at the same size, with people saying showreels hide the hit rate, that three days of rerolls will be the real test, and one who could not find the offer live. Artifacts are named concretely: a knockoff look, weak type design, seatbelt physics hard to look past, a mustache and blinking hair the model invented.
3 people hit characters that shift between shots or a face made unrecognisable, and ask whether it has been solved at all. 2 say credits kept charging after they signed up. One person reports prompts rejected as unsafe, and one alleges earlier training on creators' videos.

Without ai knowledge it's hard for people to create image or video for free At people some people should stop promoting some #AI tools as free in reality they are totally paid @GoogleAI @OpenAI @higgsfield_ai @runwayml
unlimited is the real test. showreels hide the hit rate, three days of rerolls won't.
This has no idea how to generate like scenes from scratch. Really bad at rendering scenes it gave me a huge mustache which I didn't have in my original picture and it gave me a lot of hair that blinked in and out. Good luck getting refund
how do people actually get consistent AI video where the character keeps the same look and voice across multiple videos? @Kling_ai @runwayml am I doing something wrong or has this not been solved?
Just signed up and it’s still charging credits??

What are the alternatives to Runway?
Higgsfield is the most named rival, at 3 people, with Wan and Kling level behind at 2 and 2; the rest are single mentions. Where people choose, they choose by job: Wan for shots without character references, Runway for holding the grade.
Higgsfield is recommended alongside Runway, tested with the same prompt where Runway came out "supremely better", and contrasted on the day both launched workflow tools — App Studio against Higgsfield scripting, generating and editing a whole ad in its own platform.
Wan splits by job: used for production shots that need no reference or characters, while starting every shot from image keyframes in Runway keeps the grade consistent where Wan alone "drifts palette". Kling is ranked best for realism next to Runway for creators, by a post that says pick by the job, and one person asks whether a clip was all Kling 4.
Single mentions go to Grok, found better and significantly cheaper than ChatGPT plus Runway for a 30-60 second video; to Pika, recommended with Runway for people wanting free plans; and to Tesseract, listed next to Runway when someone asks what to use.
- Higgsfield3
- Wan3
- Kling2
- Pika1
- Grok1
- Tesseract1

AI video companies quietly stopped selling models today. @runwayml launched App Studio: describe a creative tool, and it builds it on top of their image, video, and audio models. No code. Same day, @higgsfield_ai had Claude script, generate, and edit a full ad inside their platform. The moat is shifting from "best model" to "best agent that runs the whole production." @Kling_ai 4.0 and @Hailuo_AI H3 keep pushing quality, but the platforms are racing to own the workflow. Which side wins: the model makers or the workflow builders?
Wan 3.0 is very interesting as a single scene gen. This prompt was also very simple and direct. Have used wan for some production shots but need to test more. Made on @runwayml
starting every shot from gpt image keyframes keeps the grade consistent across cuts, wan alone drifts palette
Runway vs Kling vs Veo — which one for what? Runway → best for creators Kling → best for realism Veo → best cinematic + sound No fake winner. Pick by the job. Which one are you team? 👇 @runwayml @Kling_ai

What do people ask about Runway?
Prompting is the most asked about, at 4 people wanting to know what prompt made a clip and how it handles a stacked camera move. 3 ask what a generation costs them in credits and queue time.
Prompt craft is the biggest theme: people ask what prompt produced a clip, how to get to that level of prompt writing, and whether references were used or a diagram was needed. The sharpest are about control — with a camera move and a character action stacked in one prompt, which does Gen-4 drop first, and does it keep an abrupt turn and a floor-level pivot in sync, or did the maker reroll until they lined up.
Cost questions want numbers: average queue time for one generation, whether credit spend comes with an estimate and approvals or assumes a blank check, and what it costs to host one App Studio app for a month.
2 ask how characters keep the same look and voice across videos, and whether a voice reference holds tone from shot to shot. 2 want to know which model made a clip they are looking at. 2 ask what App Studio can build — custom editing tools included — and where Brand Kits stop holding brand control when a product shoot invents a logo.
- How do I prompt it well?5
- What will it cost in credits and time?3
- How do I keep characters consistent?2
- Was this made with Runway or another model?2
- How do App Studio and Brand Kits work?2

Great work. How do you get to this level of prompt writing? Is it all written by you or a system?
"faithful prompt reproduction" is the part I'd test hardest. when you stack a camera move and a character action in one prompt, which one does Gen-4 drop first?
the mouse prompt packs an abrupt turn and a floor-level camera pivot into one go. does Gen-4 keep both in sync, or did you reroll until the pivot lined up with the turn?
How do you control the credit spend? Is there an estimate and approval notifications along the way, or does this assume a blank check?
Hosting draws from your credits too, per the launch post. Roughly what does it cost to keep one app hosted for a month?

What do people want from Runway?
The main wish is 2 people wanting fine-tuning on a brand's own footage in a single-tenant setup, so studios can work with unreleased material. The rest are single asks: a better price, sound help for short films, real games from the concepts people make.
The clearest wish is for brand work: fine-tuning on a brand's own footage in a single-tenant setup, because studios and big brands "won't send unreleased footage to a shared service", and because it is what moves video models from demos into real brand work.
One person who preferred Runway's output to a rival's in a same-prompt test wishes the price were better. Another wants help with sound on short films, where sound "eats my edit time", and would run a cut through it to hear what it keeps. One hopes the game-style concepts made with Runway become real games.
- Single-tenant fine-tuning for brands2
- Cheaper pricing1
- Real games from the concepts1
- Better sound for cuts1

Fine-tuning on your own data in a single-tenant setup is what big brands and studios have been waiting for. A lot of them won't send unreleased footage to a shared service.
Fine-tuning on your own footage in a single-tenant setup is what moves video models from demos to real brand work. Smart distribution move.

Sound eats my edit time on short films. I want to run my next cut through this and hear what it keeps.
I'm seriously in love with these concepts hopefully, real games soon
