Pipedrive on X
Talk about Pipedrive is quietly positive: people recommend it as the simple, pipeline-first CRM, and those who use it daily describe routine rather than enthusiasm. The complaints are price and deal stages nobody defined, and HubSpot is the comparison that comes up most.

How do people feel about Pipedrive?
The most common note is a recommendation: 4 people suggest Pipedrive, usually as the lighter, more focused CRM next to HubSpot. Daily users who are content follow at 3, and 2 rate it good but pricey.
Recommendations frame Pipedrive as the simple, pipeline-first choice. One post contrasts HubSpot introductions, where small firms are said to use about a fifth of the features, with Pipedrive's focus on seeing which stage each deal sits in. Another suggests a "lighter CRM like Pipedrive or Attio" for contacts and a pipeline without homemade code to maintain, and one recommends it alongside HubSpot Starter for a small team.
The daily users describe it as routine rather than remarkable: "daily work" running LinkedIn and Pipedrive for a head of partnerships, deals and revenue counted inside it, and a tip for filtering deals with no planned activity. Two posts go further — one recalling the first automation they ever built on Pipedrive, another wiring it to Claude to draft quotes, review the pipeline, import data and clean the database.
The price note is not a rejection: both posts rate the product and say teams outgrow it on seat costs rather than features, or that competitors offer similar features for less.

Same spot a lot of owners land in. If it's really just contacts and a pipeline, a lighter CRM like Pipedrive or Attio could do it for less, without you maintaining homemade code. I move businesses between CRMs for a living, so happy to point you in the right direction. link
Pipedrive, un usage tout bête : filtre tes deals sans activité planifiée Ce sont ceux que personne ne rappellera, et il y en a toujours plus qu'on le pense
CLOSER. 54 deals and $598K closed in Pipedrive, $447K in the last 90 days. DM'd you.

What do people complain about with Pipedrive?
Price is the most common complaint, named by 3 people, with undefined deal stages next at 2. Leads not reaching GA4 or Google Ads is the third thread, but it comes from one practitioner's 3 how-to posts.
Price complaints come with the product rated, not dismissed: one says competitors offer similar features and support for less, another that small teams rarely outgrow Pipedrive on features but do when "seat costs climb" and every extra tool adds another tab, and one skipped it to build a replacement rather than pay.
The stage complaints are about setup, not bugs. One post describes "deals sitting in stages nobody defined", half the team logging activity and half not, and reporting that is off, calling it a sales process never written down that the software made visible. Another wants each stage — interested client, for instance — to have a verifiable condition for entering and leaving so two reps read it the same way.
The GA4 and Ads thread is one person's series of fixes: an iframe form whose submit GTM cannot see, a data-layer event that never reaches GA4, and passing a click ID so won deals upload as offline conversions.

A CRM your reps open every single day beats a fancier one that sits half empty. Many small teams don't outgrow Pipedrive on features. They outgrow it when seat costs climb and every extra tool adds another tab to juggle. @searchwithez More info in link.
Pipedrive provides all of the tools you need for customer relationship management, but you can get similar features and support from competitors for less. link
I built a real life Jarvis from Iron Man, in just 2 days. I saw pipedrive, didn't wanna pay, and created a pipedrive myself. Not adding bookmaking to personal assistant that will also be in charge of the pipedrive. It's actually insane what is possible nowadays.
Deals sitting in stages nobody defined. Half the team is logging activity & half isn't. Reporting that's off. None of that's a Pipedrive problem. It's a sales process that was never written down. The software just made it visible. #CRMImplementation link
«Cliente interesado» no es una etapa útil si dos vendedores la interpretan distinto. Mejor: una condición verificable para entrar y salir. Lo explico con Pipedrive: link

What are the alternatives to Pipedrive?
HubSpot is the comparison more people make than any other (3 people), cast as the heavier, marketing-led CRM. Building a CRM instead comes next (2 people); every other tool is named by one person.
The HubSpot posts split it by team shape: "pipeline simplicity (Pipedrive)" for a small team against "marketing + CRM in one place (HubSpot)" and Zoho on price, and one warns not to buy HubSpot for the first 50 clients, because traditional CRMs assume deals move through forms, tracked emails and logged calls rather than LinkedIn message threads. The most-shared post in the section says small firms use a fraction of HubSpot's features and that Pipedrive is narrowed to seeing which stage each deal is in.
Two people are replacing it with something they build: one "created a pipedrive myself" in two days rather than pay, another is building a sales portal for a client to replace Pipedrive.
The rest are lone mentions: Google Sheets holding customers until it wasn't enough, with Pipedrive among the CRMs then looked at; Notion for everything except the CRM; Attio named as the lighter option; Ghost's built-in CRM for LinkedIn-first teams, with Pipedrive sync still in development; Hermes; a Salesforce cost comparison; and one who will never manage a CRM again.

Well that’s the usual list For a small team the better split is pipeline simplicity (Pipedrive) vs marketing + CRM in one place (HubSpot) vs price (Zoho)
Don't buy HubSpot for your first 50 clients. If your pipeline starts in LinkedIn DMs, it'll be a graveyard within three months. It's not a discipline problem. Traditional CRMs assume deals flow through forms, tracked emails and logged calls. LinkedIn-first selling happens in message threads, profile views and post likes. So the CRM only knows what you copy into it, and copying is the first habit to die when you're busy. What a bootstrapped founder actually needs from a CRM: 1. Deals that create themselves from replies. 2. The whole conversation on the deal. DMs, emails and notes in one timeline. 3. A nudge when a deal goes quiet. Warm leads rarely say no, they drift. 5 days without contact or 14 days stuck in a stage is my line. 4. Help with the fifth follow-up, when you've run out of things to say. 5. Attribution you can act on: which campaign, post or signal produced the deals you actually won. When it is time for HubSpot, Pipedrive or GoHighLevel: - Inbound forms and nurture become a major channel - Sales, success and support share the same accounts - You need board-level forecasting and quota tracking - You already have one your team genuinely keeps updated Until then, a CRM you have to feed is a CRM you'll stop feeding.

Kicked off a brand and website for an AI training company this week, three directions due Friday. Still building the sales portal that’s meant to replace a client’s Pipedrive. And the conference site I built in Rotterdam goes live soon. Turns out I’m giving the keynote there too. Also, finally went out for a proper ride this weekend. Crazy times.
