nothing hurts more than a refund from a guy who uses your app every single day bro, I can literally see you've been using it DAILY 😭 and yes, I even offered a free trial so ppl could test it before paying tip: use Superwall and do yourself a favor by enabling refund management it sends usage data to Apple when someone requests a refund, so they have more context before making a decision won't prevent every refund but at least it's worth a shot
Superwall on X
Talk about Superwall is warm and specific: the largest group credits particular features — refund management, paywall personalization, free tracking — and RevenueCat is the comparison. Gripes are a hard interface and MMP link-out bugs.

How do people feel about Superwall?
Reception is warm. The largest group, 13 people, names a specific Superwall feature or result that helped them, and 10 more post straight praise; 4 people are dismissive or have left, over cost or the view that StoreKit is enough.
The largest group, 13 people, names something concrete: refund management that sends usage data to Apple when someone requests a refund, onboarding properties fed into paywalls so they are personalized, a two-step onboarding flow that Superwall reports lifted onboarding conversion by 10%, free event tracking, and screenshots that need to be ready before review. 10 people praise warmly without a specific: credit for an app reaching $1k in two weeks, published cancel-screen data that one in five departing subscribers can be saved, and a YouTube channel called one of the best.
7 satisfied users prefer it to RevenueCat for paywall testing or because their AI agent builds paywalls in it, and one calls a flat $200 better than any competitor's pricing. The 4 critics say StoreKit 2 is enough for indie apps, or that they left because they did not have $49 for the subscription. 3 are still testing, including one who has moved off RevenueCat and will report back.

With Superwall, you can basically optimize everything from marketing to paywalls and onboarding using AI agents. There’s no other tool on the market that offers the same capabilities right now. This opens up endless optimization opportunities for subscription apps.
Lowkey in the long run Superwall > RC Just hear me out. Decided to go with Superwall for my new app and one of the main reasons is this… RC has a fixed 1% charge above a certain threshold. Superwall has the same thing but a catch not many ppl know about: it only applies if you use their own paywalls. That’s right. You can build the paywall naturally in-app, use Superwall for everything else and get charged 0% of proceeds (aka Superwall becomes FREE) At scale that makes a HUGE difference and as someone who always builds paywalls via Claude Code anyways (its less risky aswell) its a no brainer Food for thought
same app. more intentional onboarding. Rizz App left the free-trial toggle off by default. Users had to actively choose it. @superwall reports 10% higher onboarding conversion with the new two-step flow. i like this. Make the choice clear instead of hoping people keep tapping
Happy Superwall Wednesday! 🚀 link launched my app 2 weeks ago & i already hit $1k revenue! shout out @superwall for your amazing product

What do people complain about with Superwall?
Problems split small. Complaints about the dashboard and paywall builder being hard to use are the largest, 3 people; level with each other behind them are MMP bugs with slow support, worries about what the SDK sends, and app-to-web checkout limits, at 2, 2 and 2 people.
The largest group, 3 people, is about the interface. One loves the product but says the UX/UI, both old and new, makes them want to cry; another asks for an option to switch back to the original dashboard, not being a fan of the new version; a third found Superwall's paywall builder, like RevenueCat's, too complicated and used remote config to show different subscriptions instead.
2 people hit MMP problems and question support: one sent screen recordings of an ad link-out bug on the critical path over a week earlier and says it was still unfixed, with other MMPs like Appstack and Singular not having the issue; they said they would switch back to Appstack if the Instagram ad link-out stayed broken, since every percent counts when pushing Meta spend. 2 worry about the SDK's footprint — one counted 41–73 events sent on a cold start, another calls it an additional attack surface. 2 say app-to-web checkout is US-only, forces marked-up prices elsewhere, and that Apple review is basically a coin flip.
- Interface hard to use3
- MMP bugs and slow support3
- Data and security worries2
- App-to-web checkout limits2

I love Superwall man but the UX/UI (both old and new) makes me want to cry
@jakemor please give us the option to switch to the original Superwall UI. Not a fan of the new version
I use remoteconfig to show different subscriptions as I found the superwall and rc paywall builders too complicated 😭
really believe in the vision here of getting full funnel visibility for both analytics and personalization and I've switched over to Superwall MMP because I can see how powerful this will be, BUT the current implementation of the link out from Instagram ads is borderline broken compared to other MMPs like Appstack, happy to send through screen recording examples if helpful this really needs to be fixed asap otherwise will have to switch back to to Appstack cause every % counts when pushing meta spend...
can someone at @superwall please fix this other MMPs like appstack, singular etc all don't have this issue I sent sw support screen recordings with examples over a week ago and its still not fixed pretty sloppy tbh especially when this is on the critical path and your customers are putting real ad spend through it

What are the alternatives to Superwall?
RevenueCat is the comparison that matters, at 11 people — more than twice the next group; 4 people argue StoreKit or their own logic is enough instead.
RevenueCat draws 11 people, and the traffic runs both ways. Some switch to Superwall for paywall testing ("SW>RC definitely in terms if paywall testing"), some run both, using RevenueCat for subscriptions and Superwall for paywalls and refund management. One prefers Superwall's UI; another lays out the pricing: RevenueCat's charge above a threshold applies to Superwall only if you use its own paywalls, so building the paywall in-app makes Superwall free at scale. Another advises starting with RevenueCat for receipts and entitlements and adding Superwall later for heavier A/B testing. One asks what RevenueCat can do that Superwall cannot, and another notes a restore-purchase webhook is still missing on Superwall's side, which RevenueCat has.
4 people argue you can skip subscription tools: StoreKit 2 is "right there", or the trade is maintaining your own subscription logic across App Store edge cases. 1 person is trialling Superwall's MMP in place of AppsFlyer, citing quick feedback loops and everything in one place; 1 person hit link-out bugs and named Appstack as the fallback. Single mentions cover Adapty and Purchasely.

- StoreKit and building it yourself4
- AppsFlyer3
- Appstack2
- Adapty1

Yes I love @Superwall and @jakemor SW>RC definitely in terms if paywall testing imo
I actually use both RevenueCat for subscriptions, Superwall for paywalls + refund management. they complement each other! and yeah, removing the free trial on another app actually boosted my revenue but this guy was STILL using the app daily after paying 😭
Nice, 37% D7 is a great base to build on. I'd start with RevenueCat since it handles receipts and entitlements, and you can add Superwall on top later if you want heavier paywall A/B testing. That's my plan for iQ too.
Most indie iOS apps don't need RevenueCat or Superwall. StoreKit 2 is right there. Change my mind. Also, looking to connect with other founders and indie devs

Questions· 17 posts from 16 people· written 27 Oct
What do people ask about Superwall?
Questions split between two topics level with each other: whether Superwall's approaches are allowed under Apple's rules, and what Superwall is and how it works, at 4 and 4 people each.
On Apple's rules, 4 people ask whether split testing through Superwall is still compliant, whether its third-party payments mean people do not pay in the App Store and whether that is allowed, whether the approach is dangerous while Apple is turning off people trying to use Stripe, and how product-level rules on trial length apply to a web-only yearly.
4 other people need the basics: what Superwall is, how to do a particular thing in it, what its APPU metric means, and how its MMP can be free.
3 people ask whether it is worth adopting and how others get on with it, including one worried about attack surface; 2 ask whether a feature or the CLI has shipped or is still beta; 2 ask what RevenueCat can do that Superwall cannot; 2 ask about conversion, including whether a 10% onboarding gain carries through to trial-to-paid.
- Is this allowed under Apple's rules?4
- What it is and how it works4
- Is it worth using?3
- Is this feature out yet?2
- How does it differ from RevenueCat?2
- How are conversions looking?2

So does this mean split testing through superwall is no longer compliant?
These guys are just rats. Hope you win this case. About superwall: does that mean that people dont pay in the apple store but a third party service? Is this allowed on the app store?
Is it not "dangerous" as apple is turning off people trying to use stripe
What is superwall? Broo that sucks... 😭
how tf is mmp free

Wishes· 6 posts· written 27 Oct
What do people want from Superwall?
Wishes are six separate requests, one person each and level: rotate API secrets from the dashboard, a restore-purchase webhook, an option to keep the old UI, templates that stay App Store compliant, a demoed feature now, and a cheaper MMP.
The requests are all single asks, so none has more support than another. One wants secret rotation in the dashboard, tired of "fumbling through api calls just to rotate keys"; one is still waiting for a restore-purchase webhook, noting RevenueCat has one; one asks for the option to switch back to the original Superwall UI.
One is about staying inside Apple's rules: paywall templates that protect people from breaking App Store rules and getting an app rejected. Another, watching a feature demoed, says "I need this" for their own app.
The last sees a gap for a good, cheaper MMP and is surprised RevenueCat and Superwall have not made one.
The picture is a list of gaps rather than a demand: no two people name the same one.
- Secret rotation in the dashboard1
- Restore-purchase webhook1
- Option to keep the old UI1
- Templates that stay App Store compliant1
- Wants the demoed feature now1
- A cheaper MMP1

secret rotation in the dashboard is way overdue. tired of fumbling through api calls just to rotate keys.
Still waiting for webhook of restore purchase, RC has that
@jakemor please give us the option to switch to the original Superwall UI. Not a fan of the new version
Come on! Admit. We had paywalls and always wanted to build it. Templates to protect people from breaking App Store rules and get an app rejected. Use that idea ;). No app rejection (or removed) in 7 years. We were on smartphones, tablets and TVs. iOS and Android. Native. 😘
I need this
