HyperFrames Studio is the easiest on-ramp to AI video editing I've ever seen. It's like what Canva did for democratizing design. In 24 hours, I made all of this without opening Premiere or Final Cut: - a 25-min podcast, fully edited with an intro, captions, and archival footage
HeyGen on X
HeyGen talk is praise-led: the largest group, 28 of 146 people, is enthusiastic outright, and Voice and Video 1 leaderboard wins, realistic avatars and HyperFrames Studio follow. Complaints are fewer and led by cost; sceptics ask whether leaderboard wins survive long-form work.

How do people feel about HeyGen?
All five themes here are praise, the largest being plain enthusiasm (28 of 100 people), followed by avatar and video output (26), the voices (24) and HyperFrames (21); 9 people are only curious so far.
Enthusiasm is practical: a US Army veteran who made an AI spokesperson on HeyGen to sell local advertising, avatar channels built for social growth, a Canadian property agent whose digital twin posted daily reels and multiplied Instagram followers in ten months. Several posts relay the launch numbers: Video 1 first on Artificial Analysis's blind text-to-video test, ahead of Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3, and HeyGen Voice and Voice Turbo first and second on the voice arena. Users call the mouth-and-expression sync the surprise and say "the uncanny valley finally closed". HyperFrames Studio is described as the easiest on-ramp to AI editing people have used — draw or comment on a frame, tell the AI what to change, "circle what's off".
The curious group is small and forward-looking: daily users who want to test the new model, a new Pro subscriber asking where a beginner should start, and people who say they will try it.

HeyGen Voice is #1 in Artificial Analysis' TTS arena: Elo 1,201 over 1,468 matchups, ahead of Qwen-Audio-3.1-TTS-Plus (1,182) and Eleven v4 Turbo (1,166). $30 per million characters, vs $80 for Eleven v4. "Your call is very important to us" finally sounds like it means it.

What do people complain about with HeyGen?
The biggest complaint group is cost (8 of 21 people), ahead of doubts that blind-test wins carry into long work (5). Poor output (4), trust worries (3) and errors (2) are smaller, raised by a couple of people each.
The cost complaints are about how credits and per-second charges shape the work, not just the bill. One creator plans video batches around when credits renew — "the limit sets the calendar, not the roadmap" — and another, happy with a trailer made on HeyGen and HyperFrames, says they paid more than a cent per second and are "angry about that". Others simply call it expensive and go elsewhere.
The sceptics accept the benchmarks but question the test: one notes both top voice spots came off the same eight cloned voices, four US and four UK, and that accents and code-switching "reshuffle these rankings fast"; others point to drift past minute 20, identity drift across rerolls, and whether a single word can be fixed without redoing the take.
Output complaints name a Video 1.1 clip where riders merge into wings and a shirt morphs into a neck, a poor UGC voice, thin Japanese voice choices and a shifted dubbing line. Trust worries are site vulnerabilities, a claim about a tool reading credentials and one person saying voice cloning, not the avatar, is what scares them.

- Doubts the leaderboard wins5
- Poor output quality4
- Trust worries4
- Errors and failures2

My own version of this: I plan my video batches around when HeyGen credits renew, not around ideas. The next batch of 30 waits for the reset on the 18th. The limit sets the calendar, not the roadmap.
Little Bird Told Me, trailer made with #HeyGen and #HyperFrames. 🐦 My son watched the premiere and loved it, because he's in the song too. I'm loving it. Note: #heygen is not sponsoring this. in fact I paid more than 0.01/sec and angry about that.
Both top spots came off the same 8 cloned voices, 4 US and 4 UK. That is a thin base for a leaderboard. In real traffic, accents and code-switching reshuffle these rankings fast.
Every TTS model sounds flawless on 10-second demos, then falls apart past minute 20 — accent drift, weird breathing, the works. Leaderboard crowns are nice, but surviving a full podcast episode is the real test.
HeyGen Video 1.1 cost Per full Gen 10cent so 1cent per second The flyers came out as dragons, not bison. - 0:02-0:03: the riders merge into the wings. - 0:04-0:05: a red shirt morphs into the creature's neck. - 0:06-0:09: background flyers warp and duplicate.

What are the alternatives to HeyGen?
Voices are the main battleground: ElevenLabs is what the largest group weighs it against (7 of 18 people), next the timeline editors Premiere, Final Cut and CapCut (3), then Google Flow (2); five more tools are each named by one person.
The ElevenLabs posts are about scores, price and clones. People quote the voice arena — HeyGen Voice at 1,203 Elo against Eleven v4 Turbo at 1,166, and $30 per million characters against $80 — and one says they cancelled their ElevenLabs subscription for HeyGen. Others test it themselves: one cloned a 20-second sample and gave the same line to Voice Turbo, the standard model and an ElevenLabs clone; another reads the same sentence in Mexican Spanish across HeyGen, ElevenLabs and Fish Audio, noting that voice rankings are made in English.
The editor comparison is about method rather than brand. People describe telling an AI to build and edit the video in HyperFrames Studio, rendering an MP4 in minutes, instead of dragging clips: one made a 25-minute podcast, a video from a spreadsheet and launch videos "without opening Premiere or Final Cut", while another flags that HyperFrames is code-first, edited by prompting, not dragging a timeline.
The rest chose on price: Google Flow is free and easiest for a beginner, LivePortrait animates a photo free, snapcn is open source and free.

The three priciest models on Artificial Analysis' voice-cloning arena all cost $100 per 1M characters. They rank #12, #21 and #27 out of 42. Every model speaks with the same 8 cloned voices, judged in blind votes: #1 HeyGen Voice (released Oct 9): 1203 Elo, $30 #2
Probamos Voice Turbo de HeyGen en ComfyUI: clonamos una muestra de 20 s y le dimos el mismo texto a Turbo, a Standard y a nuestro clon de ElevenLabs. Escuchá las tres. ¿Con cuál te quedás?

Questions· 14 posts· written 27 Oct
What do people ask about HeyGen?
The questions are about fit and control: whether HeyGen suits a particular job (4 of 14 people) and whether a single detail can be fixed or checked (3). Price (2) and connecting an API key (2) come next; four more questions are asked by one person each.
Fit questions come from a company making content for several clients, asking whether HeyGen is worth it for agency work on a regular plan or the API; from someone asking colleagues whether people use HeyGen, Synthesia or Rask AI for auto translation with voice sync; and from someone wondering whether Google Flow was chosen over HeyGen because it is cheaper.
The control questions are specific: can you change the pronunciation of one word and keep the surrounding audio, does lip sync hold for a whole take, and how long did it take to get the lip sync right. Others ask whether a feature needs a Pro subscription and where the pricing list is, and how to use HeyGen Video inside HyperFrames Studio — answered by bringing your own HeyGen API key and uploading an audio sample.
Single questions remain on tutorials and workflows for beginners, whether a claim that HyperFrames reads login credentials is true, and whether the new features can be driven by external agents.
- Is it worth it for my use case?4
- Can I fix or check one detail?3
- What does it cost?2
- Where do I get an API key / connect it?2
- Where do I start?1
- Is the security claim true?1

Starting to look at AI avatars for my clients. For a company that makes content for multiple clients, is HeyGen worth it, or is it more for end users? Regular plan or API? We make social media content with our own posting system and automatic content generation. Now we're
Ijin nanya mas, kalo boleh tau kenapa pake google flow diantara tools lain? Ada heygen, ada seedance etc
The fiddly bit for a small team is often correcting one name without redoing the whole voiceover. Can you change pronunciation for a single word and keep the surrounding audio the same?
30s for $0.30 is wild. lip sync hold the whole take tho?
the motion is so smooth. how long did it take to get the lip sync right?

Wishes· 8 posts from 7 people· written 27 Oct
What do people want from HeyGen?
There is no shared wish here: 7 people make 8 separate requests, each raised by one person. They run from a full minute of video out of Video 1 and re-rendering only the edited part to HyperFrames Studio on Windows and showing a cost estimate before a generation is charged.
The video requests are about length and redoing work: one wants the model tweaked to generate a full minute, saying that "can be a premiere", and two ask about re-rendering — whether a changed lesson plan re-renders the whole video or only the modified section, and whether a teacher sees which trending clips were picked before the lesson video renders, since much of what trends with teens "wouldn't survive a parent-teacher conference".
The platform requests are about access and commitment: HyperFrames Studio is Mac and Linux only with Windows "coming soon"; one person wants HeyGen available on vibe coding platforms so they can add it to their sites; and one fan of HyperFrames asks HeyGen to explain what gap Studio fills, whether it becomes a paid subscription and whether they will commit to developing it.
Two concern prompts and price: AI to create or improve the prompt, and a cost estimate before calling HeyGen.
- Longer clips from Video 11
- Re-render only the edited part1
- Approval step for trending clips1
- Help writing prompts1
- Studio on Windows1
- Available on vibe coding platforms1

My son wanted me to make a video, he gave me script so I made this with HeyGen Video 1 from @HeyGen , thanks @CanavanCathal for giving free credits , literally took 30seconds to make, fast and spot on. If Heygen team can also incorporate AI to create/improve prompts, that be
If this model can be tweaked to generate a full minute than can be a premiere!
What signal does Dots use to indicate a lesson is flat? Quiz scores are easy to read, but a boring room full of students can be harder to detect. And when your lesson plan changes on week three, will HeyGen MCP re-render the entire video or just the modified section?
Appreciate the prompt response, and using what kids are already watching is a good way to lure them into an approved lesson. Does the teacher see what trends Dots picked before the video renders? Many of what are trending with teens wouldn't survive a parent-teacher conference.
